Snapchat Looks to Impose Monthly fees on its Users

Due to the high usage of Snapchat, they intend to include monthly subscription fees for its users. A recent report has it that the user will pay $3.99/£3.99 per month. However, not everybody must pay to enjoy its services.

The social media app plans to introduce a new update called “Snapchat Plus.” It promises unique features that are bound attract subscribers to make the payment without any regrets. Snapchat plus is an updated version of the app with a user-friendly experience that includes extra options for convenient usage.

The features of the plus version are enormous. Users can watch subsequent stories, have the ability to pin a bestie on top of a personal chat as BFF, ability to change the style of the app’s icon, among others.

Not everyone across the globe will be able to access the new update. For now, the package will only be launched in the US. and UK. This means the normal snapchat will be available to other users.

The move came as the platform records losses in revenue. The firm’s spokesperson stated that the most recent announcement was a bid to diversify income streams and generate more profit for the company.
