Russia Claims It Will Not Launch A Cyber Attack On The U.S

Russia today alleged it has no plans to launch any cyber attacks on the United States. It was made known by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who told reporters that the Russian Federation is nothing like the West who engages  in state-level banditry – hence assuring that there will be no cyber assaults.

This came in response to U.S. President Joe Biden’s statement. He told businesses to do more to protect themselves against possible cyber attacks by Russia, warning there was “evolving intelligence” that Moscow was exploring options on that front.

Backing the President’s remarks, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said although the U.S. Department of Defense had not suffered any cyberattacks, U.S. officials were only being open with American business leaders at Monday’s meeting about the likely risk to corporations.

Reiterating previous statements, Kirby said that they (Pentagon) haven’t seen anything affecting our infrastructure or critical U.S. government infrastructure. He claimed that Joe Biden’s statements were aimed at making sure that leaders knew and were aware that the Russians would probably try this kind of tactic going forward.

Russia Denies Every Cyber Attack

Cybertechwiz reported that Russia seems to be stepping up its campaign against the west. Following several hoax phone calls that targeted Priti Patel and Ben Wallace, the Russians are expected to launch a full-scale cyber attack on western governments and companies.

Although the Defense Secretary has ordered an inquiry into the hoax call, experts still warn that it was just a buildup to the full-fledged assault. Russia has previously rejected similar allegations, including accusations that it was responsible for hacks on Ukrainian banking and government websites in February.

However, the U.S. is stepping up its preparedness for any attacks. A previous report stated that entities under CISA jurisdictions that experience a covered cyber incident must report the situation to the Agency no later than 72 hours after it has been confirmed.
