Socialfi Farmers Fume Over PARAM Token Return on Investment

Crypto traders and socialfi farmers express regrets regarding the PARAM Token airdrop project.

One user took to the X crypto farming community to reiterate that the token vesting will take 50 months, which is equivalent to more than four years, and the project will unlock only 10% of the supply. The latest revelation left a sour taste as some farmers claimed they lost their X account while trying to get points, and their reward seemed so far away.

Despite some concerns among large investors regarding the initial allocation percentages, some X users still reacted positively. One user even stated, “I believe that the 10% allocation will be valuable, especially considering the 55% supply given to the community.

PARAM Labs Refutes Farmer’s Conclusion

PARAM LABS representative has since voiced his confusion on the ongoing arguments. On X, he posted an official statement: “I will try to explain it as clearly as possible, as it appears that many of our new community members are new to the space. The chart on our website shows the tokenomics of our token in its entirety, of which 55% will be allocated for ecosystem and community incentives. The vesting period for this portion is 50 months.”

However, this is NOT the allocation nor the vesting for the current airdrop campaign. Imagine airdropping more than half of your tokens at the time of the initial token sale. To put this in perspective, @GaiminIo allocated only 1% of their supply for their campaign.

Additionally, He continued, “I couldn’t believe that people could even come to this conclusion, yet here we are.” He added that the project will unlock a portion of the 55% and allocate it for airdrops at the initial token sale. Nonetheless, the representative failed to disclose the exact division of this portion.

Notably, Airdrops are a popular way for new crypto projects to gain attention and distribute their tokens to potential users. This involves offering free tokens to individuals who complete simple tasks, such as joining a social media group or holding a certain amount of tokens in their wallet.
