How to Buy and Stake LARA

LARA is not listed on any Centralized exchanges. You will need to use Taraswap to for your conversion

After hearing about the exciting features of Lara Protocol, you no doubt want to do more than just be a community member. You want to enjoy the benefits of staking and holding LARA.

Well, it is easy. We will explore how to buy and stake Lara. Let’s start with how to set up your wallet.

What Wallets Will I Use?

It is worth noting that LARA is not listed on any exchanges at the time of writing. However, do not fret. You don’t need those controlling entities to hold your tokens. You can set up other ETH-compatible decentralized wallets to handle your transactions. These are Metamask, Wallet Connect, Uniswap Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet.

However, we recommend you use metamask.

Setting up Metamask

There are two ways to set up your metamask (please download your metamask). You can do so via Chainlist or by adding a custom network.

Chainlist

Go to Chainlist. Click on “Connect wallet” in the upper-right corner. You’ll get a list of wallets to connect; choose Metamask. Once the connection is done, you will see your wallet address in the top-right corner.

Afterward, use the search box to search ‘Taraxa’. You will see the result: the mainnet and testnet. Click on ‘add chain’ under mainnet. You will see a metamask pop-up where you must approve the connection to the Taraxa ecosystem. Following your approval, you’ll get a prompt to switch networks.

After switching, your interface should be like the above image.

Custom Network Addition

While Chainlist may seem easy, you may add Taraxa manually by following these simple steps.

Open Metamask and click on the network selector. A window with your available networks and an option to add a network will appear. Click on ‘add network.’ You’ll get a list of networks and an option to add a network manually (scroll down if you can’t find this option). You will then receive the following prompts in the image below.

Fill in the blanks with the following details and hit save.

Taraxa MAINNET connection details

You will get the above image once your setup is complete.

After setting up your wallet, click on the three dots above your Tara value and import tokens. You will get a prompt to fill in the token contract address. Input LARA’s token address (0xE6A69cD4FF127ad8E53C21a593F7BaC4c608945e) and click next.

Your wallet will look like the above image when you are done.

Buying LARA

After setting up your wallet, you want to buy some LARA but don’t know how to do it. Let’s go over the steps.

Since the token is not listed on any centralized exchange, you will need to use a swap. However, you will need some TARA. The coin is listed on several centralized exchanges, including MEXC and Gate.io. You must register on either exchange to buy TARA using the spot market.

After buying the coin, send it to your Metamask wallet (the one set up for the Taraxa ecosystem). For mobile users, open your in-app browser on Metamask, go to www.tararswap.app, and connect your wallet. PC users can open their browser to access the swap and connect their Metamask wallet.

Click on the ‘select token’ button, input the number of Tara you want to swap, and hit SWAP. Your LARA token will be available in your Metamask wallet.

How to Stake LARA

Now, this is the easiest one to do. Go to app.laraprotocol.com, Connect your wallet, input the amount, and hit stake.

There you go. You just staked LARA.

What Should I Do Next?

Sit back and watch your tokens work for you as you earn 13% APY on your staked asset.

Remember always to engage with the LARA social media platform for updates as you let your money work for you.
