Gunmen Storm Twitch Icon Amouranth Home Demanding Crypto
Popular Twitch streamer Amouranth (Kaitlyn Siragusa) was targeted by armed intruders who stormed her home demanding cryptocurrency.

On March 2, 2025, Kaitlyn Siragusa, known online as Amouranth experienced a harrowing home invasion at her Houston residence.
During the incident, armed intruders reportedly demanded access to her cryptocurrency holdings, pulling her from bed and assaulting her. The streamer, known for her massive following on Twitch and other platforms, managed to alert authorities, who responded swiftly.
The intruders fled the scene and an investigation is currently underway. In a series of real-time updates on X (formerly Twitter), she detailed the ordeal, stating:
“I believe I shot one of them they wanted crypto is what they were yelling they pulled me out of bed.”
Amouranth further how they forced her at gunpoint to log into her phone. Despite sustaining injuries, she managed to defend herself, leading the assailants to flee. Law enforcement and SWAT teams responded to the scene, and she was subsequently hospitalized in stable condition.
Why Target Amouranth?
Amouranth is one of Twitch’s most successful streamers, with millions of followers and substantial earnings from her online activities. She gained substantial attention for her cosplay, ASMR content, and entrepreneurial ventures, including investments in gas stations and an esports team.
In November 2024, Amouranth, publicly shared her cryptocurrency holdings, revealing over $20 million in Bitcoin (BTC) and approximately $74,450 in Ethereum (ETH).
Amouranth’s public persona and frequent discussions about her financial success may have made her a target for criminals seeking quick access to cryptocurrency, which is often perceived as untraceable and easy to transfer.
This incident underscores the potential dangers faced by high-profile individuals in the digital age, particularly those with publicly known assets. Amouranth’s swift actions and transparency during the crisis highlight the importance of personal security and the risks associated with sharing financial information online.

A group of armed attackers ambushed a crypto trader, highlighting the danger of crime with cryptocurrency.
