GhostSec and the Five Families Issued Warning Message To Indonesia
Ghostsec issued a warning message to Indonesia’s national railway firm (PT Kereta Api Indonesia Company) on its official telegram page.
Why the Warning From Ghostsec?
Ghostsec revealed on Telegram that the company said that its cyber security team dealt a blow and suspended the threat actors from the portal subsequently expelling them from PT Kereta Api Indonesia Company network and changing passwords due to possible failed negotiations.
Furthermore, the threat actors felt disdainful of this approach and reportedly announced its warning attack. “We have not been in your network for just one hour or something similar; our members have been there for about a week, collecting all the data and files related to the Invoasi system or others.”
Additionally, it threatened, “Suppose there is no communication between us or an inability to negotiate. In that case, we will start leaking the first part of the data tomorrow with our partners in FF, and we can provide the public with the secrets of the entire company.”
Possible Data Leaks
The threat actors produce several Datatype for a possible leak: Employee data, customer information, Railroad tax, Company projects, Internal system data, Company records, Geographic data, System data, Railroad goods, Information exchange systems, and more.
According to the source, the threat actors claimed to have access through the private company VPN via several employee accounts. Additionally, after gaining authorizations to various dashboards, and multiple systems, the actors claimed to have downloaded a large amount of their network data.
Consequently, the threat actors threatened if the firm does not establish contact with us or if negotiation fails, we will start leaking the first batch of data in the coming days. Starting now they have 15 days to respond regarding this issue.
