Former MI6 Chief Claims he Experienced a Cyber Attack From Russia

Former chief of MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, claimed that Russia president, Vladimir Putin, commanded cyber offensives against him.

The former British Secret Service boss said Moscow’s new offensive against the West may only have just begun following the alleged attacks on him.

According to The Times, the former chief of MI6 stated that he had been the object of Russian disruption operations during the recording of the One Decision podcast which he hosts with other leading international journalists.

The program, which mainly focuses on choices that end up having wide international impact, has gone viral following Dearlove’s revelation. He also weighed in on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Responding to claims of false information from western intelligience about the cyber offensives on the war-torn nation, he vehemently refuted the allegations. He added that he thinks that it has probably not been in the public domain very much and totally disagree.

MI6 is a secret intelligence service of the British government responsible for the collection, analysis and appropriate dissemination of foreign intelligence. They aim to support the nation’s security by providing timely information when needed.

On Monday, it was also reported that Sir Richard Dearlove predicted Putin’s presidential tenure to end in 2023. He said on the One Decision podcast that Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, will be shipped off to a sanitorium due to medical conditions by the end of 2022.

He added that he thinks he’ll be gone by 2023, but probably into the sanitorium from which he will not emerge as leader of Russia. The ex-MI6 boss reteriated the he is not saying the Russian leader won’t emerge from the sanitorium, but he won’t emerge as leader of Russia any longer. That’s a way to sort of move things without a coup.
